SomaYoga is incredibly approachable for all ages and skill levels. While the most commonly known goal of “stretching” might feel good temporarily...the skill of isolating, releasing, and nourishing a muscle group is much more satisfying and longer lasting. Flexibility is not a requirement, and isn’t necessarily even an advantage; Where we aim is overall stability and longevity. Our therapeutic SomaYoga sessions use a blend of somatics to re-educate muscles and gain greater mobility, therapeutic yoga to mobilize/stabilize, and classic asana to strengthen/stabilize.
